Educational Director

- Educational Director
- Responsibilities’ include but are not limited to:
- Develop an educational program and set educational standards
- Hire and train new staff
- Ensure and maintain an organized and sanitary environment according to the New York State OCFS Standards
Educational Background:
BA in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field AND one year of full time teaching experience AND one year of experience supervising staff in a childcare center or a group daycare home.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree with including or an additional 12 credits in Child Development or related field AND one year of full time teaching experience AND one year of experience supervising staff in a childcare center or a group daycare home.
Lead Teachers
Responsibilities’ include but are not limited to:
- Assist with curriculum objectives
- Maintain open communication with parents
- Keep appropriate records
- Maintain a warm, safe and healthy environment
- Follow the curriculum daily
Educational Background:
- A CDA with one year of specific training with infant-toddler/preschool OR
- An Associates degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field AND one a year teaching experience
Assistant Teachers
Responsibilities’ include but are not limited to:
- Assist to develop program activities
- Obtain a sanitary classroom according to NYS OCFS standards
- Provide assistance in children’s feeding, potty training, diapering, etc.
Educational Background:
A high school diploma or GED
